If you are a qualified or trainee counsellor working face to face or online and you are looking for a supervisor,
I would like to invite you to book a free one-hour consultation with me on Zoom to explore whether we are a good “fit”. Just as in counselling, the therapeutic relationship is the most important element, so too in supervision.
I believe that supervision is a vital part of every counsellor’s toolkit. I see it as a colleague-to-colleague activity in which therapist and supervisor work together in the best interest of the client. If you work with clients online, then it is best practice to receive all or most of your supervision in that way.
I have trained specifically as both a face-to-face and Online Supervisor. When working online it is important to take account of phenomena such the ‘Disinhibition Effect’ and the ‘Black Hole Effect’, which exist in the virtual world, but which are less likely to be encountered when working in person. I am an experienced psychodynamic counsellor, registered with and accredited by the BACP. My background includes several years’ experience of working as a tutor, training counselling students.
I work psychodynamically within an integrative framework, using the 7-eyed model of supervision and I welcome
supervisees of all modalities. I am a fully qualified supervisor having completed the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision including face to face and online supervision. My usual fees are £45 per hour for trainee counsellors and £60 for qualified practitioners.
